Asari Dokubo, a Niger Delta chieftain, has accused the Nigerian military of being responsible for 99 percent of the country’s oil theft.
According to sources, Dokubo made these assertions following a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the presidential office on Friday.
During the discussion, the President reportedly informed Dokubo that he would properly investigate charges of extensive oil bunkering orchestrated by powerful navy commanders who act as important actors in this illegal activity. Furthermore, Tinubu promised to take swift action to put an end to this despicable behavior.
Dokubo emphasized the existence of major factions working out of Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, and declared that these powerful entities had met their match.
He predicted that a large number of people would soon be flocking to KUJE.
Dokubo pledged the help of his disciples to confront this evil and put an end to it. He stated his willingness to use his group of devoted supporters, dubbed “his boys,” to take the necessary steps to put an end to these evil activities.
As of the time of publication, the military has not to respond.
