Chelsea’s left-back Ben Chilwell is thrilled to be back in the starting lineup after a brief absence.
Ben Chilwell: The Blues’ defender has been out with a hamstring injury since November.
Now, the England international is fit and ready to go for manager Graham Potter.
“I’ve been working for ten/eleven weeks to get back onto the grass, and I’ve been back in training for a few days now, so I’m buzzing and really looking forward to getting back to the games and helping the team,” he told the club’s in-house media.
Injuries are a part of football, and a few of the boys have had to deal with missing the World Cup. I believe it is how you deal with it rather than the fact that it has occurred. We’ve all stayed positive, the boys who have been injured during this time, and we’re eager to get back on the field and help the team.
“We have a crucial second half of the season ahead of us with the league and the Champions League. So we’re really looking forward to it, and hopefully we’ll have a great second half of the season and a successful Champions League campaign.”
