Former Deputy National  Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP), Chief Bode George said that the National leadership of the party should take disciplinary action against Ayo Fayose, former governor of Ekiti State over his statement on the forthcoming Edo governorship election.

George made this statement in Lagos while filling questions from newsmen,  He said Fayose’s comment that Governor Godwin Obaseki, the party’s governorship candidate in the Edo governorship should lose is sacrilegious and a sign of disrespecting the party and the incumbent governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki.

Although, Fayose made it clear that PDP will lose the Edo governorship election for choosing a wrong candidate to run the Edo State governorship election, Godwin Obaseki.

He said,

“As it stands now in the state of Edo, the All Progressive Congress(APC) has the chase to win the forthcoming Edo governorship election slated in September next month.

“I see Governor Godwin Obaseki lose in his ward, not to talk of winning the Edo State governorship election,” said Fayose.

Meanwhile, the PDP disciplinary action leaders are investigating the matter, promise to discipline Fayose if truly he alters this statement during a course of interviews with one of the popular National Daily Newspaper in Nigeria.
