Meanwhile, Man United’s Board is in talks with the Premier League bodies to postpone their trip to Brentford on Tuesday evening, due to due to positive COVID-19 cases.
According to report, United’s Board revealed on Sunday;
That a “small number” of individuals among the first-team players and staff had returned positive lateral flow tests. And those positive cases have been confirmed by positive PCR tests, in order “to minimize the risk of any further infection”.
These have led the Manchester United board to shut down training facilities due to these positive COVID-19 cases.
In the report released, United added that;
“The club is in discussion with the Premier League whether it is safe for Tuesday’s fixture against Brentford to continue, both from a Covid infection and player preparation perspective.
“Team and staff travel to London will be deferred pending the result of that discussion.”
