The autopsy on the body of singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, professionally known as MohBad, has been completed, according to Nigerian police.
The Lagos State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, was said to have revealed the news on social media, saying, “Autopsy has been completed.” “Waiting for the outcome…”
MohBad died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, presumably from an infection. His death has sparked debate, with many pushing for the cause to be revealed.
Following a directive from the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, the police recently initiated an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding his death. A ten-man team was assembled, including a pathologist, to exhume and investigate Mohbad’s death.
MohBad accused his former manager, singer Naira Marley, of assault in October 2022, claiming that Marley had instructed others to beat him up after he revealed his intention to acquire a new manager.
Following his death, it was revealed that MohBad had filed a police report in June 2023, stating that Samson Erinfolami Balogun, a music promoter known as “Sam Larry” and a known acquaintance of Marley’s, had beaten him and destroyed some of his possessions. According to the complaint, Larry interrupted a film shoot while leading a group of 15 guys armed with weapons and cutlasses.
