President Bola Tinubu met with Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno behind closed doors.
The meeting, which took place on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, was said to have included discussions on several governance concerns.
Governor Mutfwang and Governor Eno are both first-term governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Governor Eno told journalists following the secret meeting that now that elections are done, the attention must move from politics to government.
“Politics has ended, and governance has begun,” Governor Umo Eno declared.
“Akwa Ibom is a vital part of Nigeria, and we must collaborate with the federal government to ensure that Akwa Ibom’s people benefit from democracy.” We can’t do it if we work alone.”
