Manchester City Coach, Pep Guardiola is currently busy in the transfer market trying to right the wrongs he did last season that made him to watch the champions league final on a screen.
Amongst the errors that is believed to have costed the Catalan in the last season is trying to face and compete in the European top tire without an established striker.
As a result, the premier league defending champion made it to the market immediately the window was unlocked and signed one of the best strikers in the world in Earlig Haaland. Adding Julian Alvarez who has been on loan at River Plate to his plans for next season is also an evidence that attacking third is his priority this summer.
Another department that Pep has reinforced this summer is his engine room following the departures of Fernadhino. The Citizens have signed Kalvin Philips from EPL rivals Leeds United.
However, apart from the stalwarts who have reportedly made a move to the premier league giant, a good number of players are also unwilling to prolong their stay at the club and are currently standing and the exit door.
So far, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus are two sensations who have shown their desire to have fresh challenge away from Etihad next season. Luckily enough, Gabriel Jesus has already found home at Emirates stadium while Sterlings future is still in limbo.
Man City name Gabriel Jesus transfer fee, Arsenal complete second signing
Comparing Gabriel Jesus to Everton ace, Richarlison, who has also joined Tottenham Hotspur this summer, former football legend Cascarino seems to be telling Guardiola the mistake he has done by accepting to release Gabriel Jesus to Arsenal.
He says Gabriel Jesus is more versatile that Richarlison and will score more goals for Arsenal next season compared to Richarlison.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Cascarino said: “I think Gabriel Jesus ticks a lot more boxes and they’ve got him at a better price. If you said to me now who will get the most goals, I’d say Gabriel Jesus would get more goals than Richarlison for Tottenham. And he’s more versatile than Richarlison.”
This shows how a decision to offload Gabriel Jesus could be a mistake that Pep Guardiola made this summer that will benefit hugely the Gunners.
