Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, is looking forward to the physical battle with Erling Haaland and Chelsea’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Thiago Silva.
Guardiola has stated that he will not ask Haaland to calm down on the field ahead of Thursday’s game.
Last week, the Norwegian striker got into a scrap with Everton’s Ben Godfrey.
In the first half of the 1-1 tie, Haaland was booked for a heavy challenge on Vitalii Mykolenko.
Haaland sent a clear message to the rest of the Premier League clubs
“Strikers must deal with tough, tough central defenders.
“It’s required. [Against Chelsea], he will face [Kalidou] Koulibaly and Thiago Silva.
“It’s always a big challenge, and that’s what makes the Premier League so special,” Guardiola told reporters.
