Belgium and Chelsea football club’s striker, Romelu Lukaku was left out of the bench in Chelsea’s game against Lille, courtesy of his sluggish and puny performances in Chelsea’s attacking position.
Lukaku has played several past few games for the Blues and has only two goals to his tally, which is an appalling record for a striker of his (Lukaku’s) calibre.
The Belgian striker has to endure being benched in Chelsea’s last UEFA Champions League fixture against Lille on Tuesday night. And it might be hard for Lukaku to retain his starting role as Chelsea’s striker again, courtesy of the astounding performances of Kai Havertz who was featured ahead of him(Lukaku), in the Lille’s game.
However, I strongly believe that Chelsea football club’s manager, Thomas Tuchel might drop this piece of advice to Lukaku on how to deal with his challenges.
Tuchel should urge Lukaku to lose weight: Romelu Lukaku is no doubt a great striker but his weight does not actually allow him to be flexible and vibrant in the striking role. Tuchel should urge him (Lukaku) to regulate his diet and embark on daily exercises that will help him lose weight.
Tuchel should also urge Lukaku to indulge in extra training in order to improve his footwork and dribbling skill.
Lukaku’s footwork, control and dribbling abilities are woeful because it is hard for Lukaku to take on defenders, dribble them and score goals too. Hence the need for him to embark on extra personal trainings for the improvement of his footwork, dribbling and control abilities.
