Former Chelsea Boss Frank Lampard shortlisted as candidates for this EPL club job

Former Chelsea Manager Frank Lampard has become a subject of criticisms from Chelsea Fans as the club continue to wade through their difficult time.

Chelsea were sanctioned by the UK Government last week due to the relationship of the club’s Russian Billionaire Owner Roman Abramovich, with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

Chelsea Football Club are in a crisis that has the potential of consuming the club or at least, hinder the effectiveness of running the club smoothly for the remainder of this season. In situations like this, everyone including bystanders, those directly involved and affected by the crisis will choose their sides.

Chelsea’s official shirt sponsor 3 have already dumped the Club but, it’s not all bad as Nike and Trivago who all have sponsorship deals with the West London club have agreed to stand with Club during the trying times. More importantly, the club’s Manager Thomas Tuchel has also reiterated his commitment to remain with the club.

At a time like this, one would have thought that Frank Lampard of all people will be among those that will stand with Chelsea but, what he did shocked Chelsea Fans and it has sparked an outrageous reactions on the Social media.

During a Pre-match press conference on Friday, Frank Lampard denied having a personal relationship with Roman Abramovich which we all know isn’t true.

Lampard said: “I could count on one hand how many times I’ve seen him in the last many years. I worked for Chelsea Football Club for 13 years, which was a pleasure, and that’s where I want to leave that.”

Frank Lampard is worshiped by Chelsea Fans as one of greatest Legends of the club which is why it was a blow to the Fans of the club when he denied being on Friendly terms with the Russian Oligarch.

Rio Ferdinand who’s a Manchester United has come out to directly to criticise the UK Government. Frank Lampard owes it to Chelsea to support them too or at least, he could have remained neutral. He ignored all of that and directly hit Chelsea Fans where it hurts most.

When Frank Lampard was fired by Chelsea last year, Roman Abramovich issued a personal statement about the issue at that time, which he rarely does.

He said: “This was a very difficult decision for the club, not least because I have an excellent personal relationship with Frank and I have the utmost respect for him.”

Before Firing Frank Lampard then, he had already been backed by the club as many of his targets were Signed for him but, when things got icky for Chelsea, he was among the people that didn’t support the club.
