Chelsea’s Malo Gusto has been having a hard time getting over his injury since his move to Chelsea. So severe was the damage to his ankle that the Blues had to seek the assistance of Lyon in further rehabilitating the player for his injury. Many now believe that the only time Gusto will be fit enough to play for Chelsea will be during the pre season.
“Gusto’s transfer to Chelsea has been a disaster for both Chelsea and Lyon. So far, nothing good has come out of the transfer. In fact it is Lyon who are suffering the most from this move because they sold one of their most promising players, who is apparently irreplaceable in the current market. Chelsea on the other hand are second guessing the move,” remarked Ian Baker.

Reece James is having a very hard time cooping with the current injury situation. The right back hasn’t been able to maintain his fitness long enough this season and this has seen him only start 12 matches this season out of a possible 37. Graham Potter is definitely running out of options for the right back role since Malo Gusto was supposed to be the direct replacement for the England international.

My opinion
Cucurella’s agent has reportedly sat down with Graham Potter to discuss about the reduced game time of his client. Apparently, Cucurella is not happy with sharing his first eleven honors with Ben Chilwell who is currently flying both for Club and country.

The Spaniard feels that his chances of overcoming Chilwell are lowering each day because he also acknowledges that Chilwell is a fan favorite.

Lewis Hall is also having a hard time getting joy of playing in the first eleven. Graham Potter is at his wits end at the moment, trying to steer Chelsea back to the top four chase and that has faded his belief in young players. Even Chukwuemeka is a victim of this changed mentality.
