Many sports experts have advised Chelsea to sell Kai Havertz during the summer transfer window as it approaches.
According to Frank McAvennie, who has advised Chelsea to replace Kai Havertz immediately once the summer transfer window opens.
Former West Ham striker insists the Blues must sign a new number nine before the season ends.
The Blues are currently tenth in the Premier League table after a poor run of form under new manager Graham Potter.
Potter’s team, on the other hand, has only three league wins in 2023 and has struggled for goals in recent games.
Kai Havertz has played up front for the Blues in recent games, including the 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday (7 March), which secured their place in the quarter-finals.

However, McAvennie insisted that they needed a better option right away.
“This summer, Chelsea will spend money.”
“They need to get rid of some of the players first, but I expect them to spend.
“Potter will want to bring in his own players because none of the players are his.
“They need a number nine. Regardless of what others say, Havertz is not a Chelsea-caliber center-forward; he is, in my opinion, a makeshift center-forward.
“Because all of the other clubs are going to spend a lot of money, they will have to spend a lot of money as well.”
