Chelsea fans couldn’t hold back their rage as the two London rivals clashed in the Premier League on Sunday, with Kepa Arrizabalaga spitting the ball moments before Skipp’s strike.
Chelsea announced on January 7 that the Senegalese goalkeeper had to undergo surgery and would be out for the foreseeable future.
“Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has undergone surgery on a fractured finger sustained in training this week,” the club said.
“During his rehabilitation period, the 30-year-old will work closely with the club’s medical department.”
