City 7-0 Leeds: 1 crucial reason why Chelsea may still lift the EPL trophy despite City’s points

Thomas Tuchel finally reveals his stands on Lukaku amid his recent poor form

Manchester City performances yesterday against Leeds United in was great are they trashed their rival club 7-0 to boost or maintain their point in the EPL table.

City took their lead on the Premier League table to 4 points after beating Leeds United 7-0 on Tuesday night, with Foden, De Bruyne, Stones, Ake, Mahrez, and Grealish all scoring on the night to help the reigning Premier League champions to strengthen their place on top of the table as they look to retain the Premier League title this season.

How, Chelsea look like the most favorable side to win the Premier League title this season when they were leading the table in the last couple of months, winning games and also scoring many goals without conceding many goals.

But unfortunately for them, they could not maintain their place on top of the table this month as they dropped down to the third position after being defeated by West Ham United earlier this month. And given how Manchester City has been performing since climbing top of the table, many could easily write Chelsea off as possible title winners this year, thanks to their performances in recent weeks.

But I believe that Chelsea may still come back to win this season’s Premier League title ahead of Manchester City despite their current form.

Why do I believe that Chelsea could still win the Premier League this season?

Kante has finally returned to training after recovering from an injury.

1. Their injury returns: Chelsea has missed a host of their first-team players through injuries in recent weeks, with “midfield general” N’Golo Kante missing out through a knee injury, and the likes of Mateo Kovacic and Trevoh Chalobah also missing out for some weeks now.

No doubt, Chalobah’s return will give Tuchel more options in defense.

But fortunately for the Blues, N’Golo Kante, and Trevoh Chalobah have returned to full training with the squad ahead of their next game against Everton, and Kovacic is also likely to return very soon after missing out for over one month.

CONFIRMED: Eden Hazard ‘open up’ to Chelsea transfer window deal

Manchester City are currently the Premier League leaders, but Chelsea can still come from behind to win the title this season.

It is very clear that Chelsea’s recent struggles as come as a result of missing their top midfielders during this period, and with their top players all returning from injuries ahead of January fixtures.

Chelsea are likely to return to their best form very soon, and if they can be consistent from now on, they may overtake Manchester City on the table to become the league winners at the end of the season.
