After a pause for international competition due to the World Cup, the English Premier League has at long last resumed regular season play.
As today’s schedule of matches got underway, Tottenham continued their pursuit of the league championship by traveling to the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford to take on the Bees.
Janelt scored the first goal of the game for Brentford in the 15th minute, which was not the start that they had hoped for in this match. Unfortunately for them, the game did not begin the way they had hoped it would. After making a number of tries to find the back of the net, the score in the first half of the match stood at 1-0 in favor of Brentford.
Ivan Toney made it a two-goal advantage for the home team in the 54th minute of the second half. His goal made it official.
After 11 minutes had passed, Kane scored a goal to bring the score equal for the away team. And Hojbjerg scored the equalizing goal for the home team in the 71st minute, which ultimately resulted to the game ending in a 2-2 tie with both teams content to settle for a point each.
In the meantime, the table of players’ positions in the Premier League looks like thus after this result.
