The victim of former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, his wife Beatrice, and Doctor Obinna Obeta’s organ harvesting accusations has reacted after the trio was sentenced to prison on Friday.
He is frightened of returning to Nigeria, he said. It was previously stated that Ekweremadu was sentenced to nine years and eight months in prison in the United Kingdom.
The 60-year-old Nigerian senator, his wife, and Obinna Obeta, a medical practitioner, were found guilty of arranging to bring a Lagos market trader to the UK for the intention of harvesting his kidney for the politician’s 25-year-old daughter, Sonia.
Beatrice Ekweremadu, 56, was sentenced to four years and six months in prison, while the doctor involved in the organ trafficking case was sentenced to ten years in prison and had his medical license suspended.
According to the victim, he is unable to return to Nigeria due to concerns about his safety. According to the victim, someone paid a visit to his father in Nigeria and persuaded him to persuade the victim, his son, to abandon the complaint.

“He [Dr Obinna Obeta] never told me he brought me here for this reason, and he never told me anything about it.” “I would not have agreed to any of this because my body is not for sale,” the victim stated.
“I am concerned about my safety in Nigeria; those people can do anything.” In Nigeria, I believe they may arrest or kill me,” he added.
