Residents of the Mosne community in Kaima, Kwara State, have struggled to accept an incestuous relationship between a mother and her biological son, which has resulted in three children.
Fati Sime and her son, Adamu, were alleged to have been having an affair for several years before the bubble broke.
Malam Bandede, the District Head of Mosne Had, reportedly alerted men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, on the heinous act done by mother and child on Thursday, September 9.
Ironically, it was not only Adamu who was discovered to be sleeping with his mother; his younger brother, the identity of whom could not be determined at the time of reporting this story, was also apparently involved.
While Adamu was apprehended by NSCDC agents, his younger brother, who allegedly participated in the incestuous act, is claimed to be on the run.
The family is claimed to be a group of Beninese immigrants that live in Kwara State.
Confirming the occurrence, Mr. Babawale Afolabi, spokesperson for the NSCDC’s state command, stated in a statement on Sunday, September 12, that additional inquiry found that the accused’s younger brother, who was also proven to be sleeping with the mother, was now at large.

“On September 9, the District Head of Mosne Had Community, Kaima, Malam Bandede, reported Sime and his mother Fati Sime of the same community committing the forbidden act.”
“Men from the Intelligence Unit, NSCDC in Kaima, swung into action, and the findings established that Fati, the mother, had birthed three children for her biological son,” Afolabi continued.
He stated that the woman and her two sons lacked the essential documents to legally remain in Nigeria and had been turned over to the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, for further investigation and action.
