Late Thursday evening, an update on Chelsea star Edouard Mendy’s fitness was provided.
This comes after the Senegalese, who had reestablished himself as first-choice between the posts in west London prior to the World Cup break, was forced to sit out for an extended period of time.
Following a shoulder injury, Mendy underwent surgery to treat a finger injury around the turn of the year.
The 31-year-old, whose future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain due to a contract dispute, has been forced to relinquish no.1 status to Kepa Arrizabalaga once more.
