There is a new update on the future of Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena, whose contract expires on June 30.
Mokwena’s new contract is thought to have been drafted a long time ago, but he has yet to sign it, leading to reports that Sundowns may be forced to go elsewhere.
The name of seasoned French coach Patrice Carteron has been batted about, with speculations saying that he could replace Mokwena at Sundowns.
According to UnplayableZA, the delay in Mokwena signing the new contract is due to ‘technical team modifications’ recommended by Mokwena.
Since Mokwena took control, the technical team has grown to include Michael Loftman and Ryan Hunt.
