MAL vs CHE: Four Chelsea players that may miss a crucial UCL game against Malmo FF… The Blues’ next game in the UEFA Champions League is against Malmo FF on Tuesday.
Chelsea has been unbeaten since the October international break and will look to keep it that way when they travel to Malmo FF on Tuesday.
Tuchel’s men easily defeated Malmo FF by 4 goals to nil in their first meeting at Stamford Bridge, and I expect them to repeat history on Tuesday.
However, Tuchel may be without four of his key players for this crucial game. Let’s take a look at the four players who could be out for the game against Malmo;
1. Mateo Kovacic
Due to a hamstring injury sustained while training on Thursday, the Chelsea midfielder was ruled out of Saturday’s game against Newcastle. Thomas Tuchel stated that he would be out for a few weeks.
2. Romelu Lukaku
The Belgian star is still recovering from an ankle injury he suffered in the game against Malmo earlier this month. Tuchel, on the other hand, hinted that the goal for him would be after the November international break. So it is likely that he would be unavailable for the Tuesday game.
3. Timo Werner
The same thing goes for Timo Werner. He is expected to return back after the international break.
4. Christian Pulisic
Although, many Chelsea fans expected to see Christan Pulisic to played against Newcastle on Saturday. But, According to the Blues manager, Tuchel’s latest statement on Pulisic, however, suggests that he may even miss Tuesday’s game. Take a look at what he said below.
“We’re looking at the Burnley game (on November 6) for Christian Pulisic if everything goes well.”
