“Moises Caicedo will leave this summer, but Chelsea may have to pay £100 million,” Brighton coach says
Moises Caicedo is expected to depart Brighton this summer, but Chelsea may be forced to pay £100 million to recruit him.
Moises Caicedo is without a doubt one of the most sought-after Premier League players this summer, with clubs willing to pay £100 million to take him from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Mauricio Pochettino prepares to continue his revamp of the Chelsea squad, with 10 players already leaving and three arriving, as he seeks to sign Moises Caicedo.
Chelsea has spent almost £600 million on trades, so the £100 million price tag on Caciedo’s head is unlikely to deter the Blues from pursuing him this summer.
As a result, Chelsea will have to recognize that Brighton are not going to be pushovers this summer and will seek a cost comparable to what Declan Rice has demanded from Arsenal.
“Chelsea are still in talks with Brighton about signing Moises Caicedo,” Sheth said on Sky Sports. “According to one source, Brighton value Caicedo in the same range as West Ham value Declan Rice, so they could ask for around £100 million for him.”
