Nigeria Medical Doctors sets to embark on 3 days warning strike

The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Delta State Chapter has announced it’s three days warning strike over the refusal to implement the COVID-19 hazard allowance.

Dr. Omo Ekeneam, The Delta State Nigeria Medical Association chairman, confirmed the development of the proposed warning strike.

It was gathered that the proposed warning strike will start from Monday and end on Wednesday next week.

However, there have been a series of meetings and negotiations on this cause with the Delta State government and its representative and doctors.

The proposed temporary suspension of 30,000 minimum wage does not sway them, the state government has offered to exempt doctors and other health workers in the state from benefiting from 30,000 new minimum wages.
