If Christopher Nkunku is to succeed in Chelsea, he must take Timo Werner’s advice seriously.
Christopher Nkunku, a French forward, will join Chelsea next summer. The Rb Leipzig star signed a contract with Chelsea last year, but he will not join the West London club until the end of this season.
Chelsea recently sold Timo Werner to Rb Leipzig, who signed him until 2020. The West London club signed Timo Werner for £47 million in 2020 as a replacement for Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud, but he fell short of expectations, prompting Chelsea to sign Romelu Lukaku.
Timo Werner’s problems at Chelsea have been exacerbated by the arrival of Romelu Lukaku, who has reduced his playing time. He returned to Rb Leipzig on a permanent basis at the end of last season.
Timo Werner and Christopher Nkunku were teammates at Rb Leipzig before Chelsea signed the former in 2020, and the German Forward still met Christopher Nkunku at Rb Leipzig when he returned last summer, but that won’t be the case for long because Christopher Nkunku is on his way to Stamford Bridge.
Timo Werner, according to Sport Bild, a German sports publication, gave Christopher Nkunku some sound advice.
“At a club like Chelsea, you don’t play like you do at Rb Leipzig because there’s more competition,” he explained.
Timo Werner has witnessed fierce competition at Chelsea, and he was even a victim of it because the reason he left Chelsea was because he wasn’t playing.
“I regret seeing Christopher Nkunku commit to CHELSEA,” said Borussia Dortmund President
Chelsea signed Mykhaylo Mudryk in January for £89 million, including a performance-related add-on, but the Ukrainian Winger has yet to make an appearance for the Blues. That explains the level of competition in the Chelsea team. A player must be consistently good in order to be assured of a starting spot.
