Chief Bode George, the former deputy national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has sworn not to congratulate President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and will not attend his presidential inauguration on May 29.
On a prominent television channel, ARISE TV, the PDP chieftain stated unequivocally that he will never congratulate President-elect Bola Tinubu on his victory in the February 25 election.
Meanwhile, George, who revealed this following a visit from Tinubu’s camp, emphasized that he has no ill will toward the former Lagos governor.
Remember that a delegation led by Prince Tajudeen Olusi, the chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Governance Advisory Council (GAC), visited with George in Lagos.

He stated:
“It has no effect on the people.” I’m a pure-bred Lagosian. I was born and raised here; there is so much degeneration; please contact my local authorities.”
“First and foremost, Femi Gbajabiamila had been here; we had discussions, and I told him everything I wanted them to do in Lagos.” What important to me is that Lagos become the best city in the world, making life more meaningful and having a positive impact on the minds of the people because power is in the hands of the people.
“In this Lagos, I was born into a political family, and my upbringing taught me to respect what is right, reasonable, and fair. It’s nothing personal. I will not disobey the laws if they claim he has won and I say it is up to me to determine whether I want to live under the rule of this and he cannot personally control me.
“And the rule of law is what we seek. What exactly is democracy? The rule of law, the rule of the people, and the lady of justice, blindfolded with the sword and the scale, administers justice based on facts in every court in our country. So, let us wait for the Supreme Court’s decision.
