Everton manager, Frank Lampard has officially announced the absent of one of their key player, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who will miss out of the opening of the premier league new campaign season match between Everton vs Chelsea on Saturday, August 6th, 2023 due to injury.
According to the Everton Coach,
Frank Lampard said;
“That Everton are assessing Calvert-Lewin’s injury, adding that it is a shame the England international will not play against Chelsea.”
Calvert-Lewin sustained a
‘Freak injury’ during Everton’s training ahead of their Premier League opener against Chelsea on Saturday at Goodison Park.
“We are assessing Dom’s injury. No timeframe has been confirmed and we are pretty sure what level it is, so we are hopeful it is not long-term.
“We will miss him for Chelsea. He was looking in great physical condition and was training really well. It was a freak injury in training, which does happen.
“It is a shame, but we have to find the solutions to keep ourselves strong without Dominic before he returns,” Lampard said as quoted by Metro UK ahead of the match.
