The Stakeholders of the party responded in a Press Release made available below;
IMO APC STAKEHOLDERS
PRESS RELEASE
*Our Reaction On Senator Rochas Okorocha & Uche Nwosu’s Position On Imo APC Stakeholders Vote Of Confidence On Governor Uzodinma, Nwajiuba, Akobundu*
Following the implicit vote of confidence passed in the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma, Minister of State for Education, Hon Emeka Nwajiuba, and Director General of NEPAD Princess Gloria Akobundu by Stakeholders of the ruling party in Imo State, spokesman of Senator Rochas Okorocha’s son-in-law, Onwuasonya FCC Jones who impersonates as the State Publicity Secretary of our great party in the state, has written to express the positions of his masters.
In his response, FCC Jones Onwuasonya called Imo APC Stakeholders various unprintable names in a bid to communicate to the public the stand of his masters, Senator Rochas Okorocha and his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu respectively.
The said FCC Jones Onwuasonya did not spare the leader of the group and former Deputy Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Prince Eze Madumere in his ridiculous release, but avoidably maligned his person without provocation in a bid to score cheap political relevance.
The entirety of Imo APC Stakeholders see this unprovoked media attack as madness, and an indication that both Senator Rochas Okorocha and his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu are out to destroy our great party.
The truth of the matter is that as Stakeholders of APC in Imo state, it is incumbent on us to identify lapses and achievements of elected officers under the party platform and comment when necessary without the exception of Governor Hope Uzodinma.
This, we unanimously identified, itemized and ascertained to be worthy of commendation hence the passage of implicit vote of confidence on our party leaders who are doing excellently well in their respective offices.
One therefore wonders why Senator Rochas Okorocha and his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu who pretend to be members of our great party would direct engage Stakeholders of same ruling party they claim to be members in a smear campaign with a wicked intention to rubbish the party, the Stakeholders and the Governor.
These actions of the duo have given credence to the rumour that they had perfected plans to join the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its Governorship candidate in the 2019 election, Rt Hon. Emeka Ihedioha to fight the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor Hope Uzodinma.
As Imo APC Stakeholders, we condemn the tricky and selfish political style of Senator Rochas Okorocha and his cronies who are in the habit of smiling with President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Hope Uzodinma in the day and thereafter unleash mayhem against them in concert with opposition parties at night.
Consequent upon this, we sincerely call on members of our great party and the general public to ignore the position of Senator Rochas Okorocha and his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu as disclosed by their spokesperson against Imo APC Stakeholders, and particularly, the former Deputy Governor of Imo state, Prince Eze Madumere.
No doubt, both Senator Rochas Okorocha and his son-in-law’s latest naked dance in a market place following the position of Imo APC Stakeholders is obviously laced with greed, selfishness and part of their desperate bid to remain in power either by hook or by crook through one of their errant boys, Daniel Madueke Nwafor as APC Chairman.
As Imo APC Stakeholders, we therefore unequivocally maintain our ground on the passage of vote of confidence on Governor Hope Uzodinma, Minister of State for Education, Hon Emeka Nwajiuba, Director General of NEPAD, Princess Gloria Akobundu as well as the authentic Chairman of APC in Imo State, Chief Barr. Marcelinus Nlemigbo.
In view of the above, members of our party and the good people of Imo state are enjoin to remain steadfast as efforts are on top to weed off bad eggs that almost crumbled the state before God delivered us from “King Nebuchadnezzar” of Imo in 2019 from our party.
Signed
