Ondo Guber: Akeredolu is leading Jegede with 37,771 votes after 12 LGAs

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC is currently leading in the results so far announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC following Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo state.

Out of 12 local government area results already announced, Mr Akeredolu of the APC is leading his closest rival, Mr Eyitayo Jegede of the PDP with 37,771, according to a report published by the Vanguard newspaper (online).

The state has 18 local government areas and 12 has been announced by INEC. Of the 12 announced, Akeredolu has won in 9 while Jegede has won 3. The Zenith Labour Party’s candidate, Agboola has not won any so far.

According to the Vanguard report, “So far, Akeredolu has polled 178,854 votes while Jegede got 141,083 votes”, while Agboola is trailing both of them with 32,060. More results are expected this morning, and we will definitely keep you posted in due course.
