Orlando Pirates could beat Mamelodi Sundowns to the signing of a highly-rated midfielder ahead of the upcoming season.
The Soweto Giants have already started their preparations for the upcoming season as the club will be expected to challenge Mamelodi Sundowns for the league title and the two sides have already started battling for signatures of players.
The two clubs have been both been linked with Maritzburg United midfielder Karim Kimvuidi following his exploits in the colours of the team of choice in the past season.

According to a well-placed source on both clubs Pirates are getting closer in landing the signature of the player from Maritzburg.

The source added that the Pirates offered enticing hard-to-resist deal to the team of choice and has further revealed that if Maritzburg remain in their dstv Premiership next season there will be exchange of players as well as money.
