The Court ruled on Friday that the All Progressives Congress and Oyetola had failed to prove their case against Adeleke based on overvoting.

Recall that the former governor of the state and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate had challenged Ademola Adeleke’s victory in the July 16 governorship election before the Osun state election petition tribunal.

Adeleke was fired by the tribunal, led by Justice Tertse Kume, on the basis of irregularities in 744 polling units across ten local government areas in the state.

It nullified the alleged illegal votes and declared Oyetola the winner based on legally valid votes cast.
