Chelsea manager Graham Potter described Raheem Sterling as “as good as you can be” after his home was broken into while he was at the 2022 World Cup.
Sterling returned to the United Kingdom from Qatar to be with his family, missing England’s victory over Senegal.
He did, however, re-join the Three Lions squad before their semi-final loss to France.
Sterling is set to play for Chelsea against Bournemouth on Tuesday.
“He’s as good as it gets.
“There is nothing we can do now other than make sure he is as secure as possible.
“He was upbeat about it, but he’s returned to the game, knowing we can all do a little bit better,” Potter said.
