Magu’s probe continues on Tuesday morning, with the Presidential panel investigating corruption allegations leveled against the suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu on Monday three EFCC operatives have been arrested following the confession of Magu.

It was clear that there is a lot of foul play in the commission office, as the presidential panel committee quickly carted away from some vital information on the computers of the commission’s office.

According to sources, disclosed this to the News-Report that the current acting Chairman of EFCC, Mohammed Umar, who is the Director of Operations, has a lot to answer as the panel continues their investigation concurrently.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Umar, who was an Assistant Commissioner of Police, was brought to the commission by the suspecting acting Chairman of EFCC, four years ago by Magu.

According to a source said: “Three staff of EFCC were brought to the panel for questioning by security officials. They were kept in a separate place and were not allowed to have close contact with Magu.

“The panel stormed EFCC office between 12 and 2 pm and left with Osas and Buhari (not the president). I can’t really identify the third person.”

As at about 8:40 pm both Magu and the panel members were still at the Old Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja, venue of the investigation.

Presently, Ibrahim Magu is facing 21 corruption of allegations leveled against him by the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
