Kevin De Bruyne’s dazzling solo effort was enough to secure a potentially title-winning three points as Manchester City beat Chelsea to open up a 13 points gap at the top of the Premier League table.

Chelsea on their part were really poor on the day. They barely got a sniff of the ball, struggled to get out of their own half and hardly troubled Ederson in Man City’s goal.

From his performance, Romelu Lukaku was the worst performer on the pitch today. The Belgian was anonymous for most parts of the game. His pressing from the front was non-existent, his link-up play was terrible and he failed to make the most of the few chances his teammates created for him.

Chelsea coughed out £100 million in the summer to recruit Lukaku from Inter Milan but his performances (especially in big matches) have not justified his huge price tag so far.

To make matters worse, he hurt the feelings of Chelsea fans and all at the club with his comments in an interview where he disrespected the club by stating his displeasure with the head coach and his love for his former team Inter Milan.
