Todd Boehly, Chelsea’s owner, purchased the club last year after the previous owner, Roman Abramovich, stated that the club was for sale due to restrictions imposed by England’s football association. The Club was barred from playing in England due to Abramovich’s “involvement” in the Russia-Ukraine war.
However, since Todd Boehly became owner of Chelsea, the team has failed to impress and has struggled this season. Chelsea is currently tenth in the Premier League. Many Chelsea fans began to dislike their new owner after he fired Thomas Tuchel due to the team’s poor performance.
Despite this, I believe Todd Boehly is superior to Abramovich for the following reasons:
1.Patience
Todd Boehly fired Thomas Tuchel and hired Graham Potter to be the club’s new manager. The team has struggled since Graham Potter joined Chelsea, but Todd Boehly remains patient with the Manager. Graham Potter would have been fired long ago if Abramovich was still Chelsea’s owner. Todd Boehly, on the other hand, is patient with the new Manager and has stated several times that he believes Potter can turn things around. Chelsea’s patience appears to be paying off, as they have won their last two matches, including a 2-0 victory over Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League to advance to the quarter-finals.
2.Recruiting young players
Despite spending a lot of money on players, Abramovich hasn’t done what Todd Boehly has. Todd Boehly signed more than ten players this season, with the majority of them being very young. Enzo Fernandez, Mudryk, Chukwuemeka, Madueke, and Badiashile are among those involved. This means that the team has a lot of talented young players, and the club’s future looks promising.
Chelsea fans have been pleased with the Club’s signings this season and expect more from Todd Boehly and Graham Potter.

Is Todd Boehly a better Chelsea owner than Roman Abramovich?
