At the Youth Leadership Summit, Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche, the founder and senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center, addressed his congregation on the topic of “The Challenge Of Youth Leadership And Harnessing Opportunities God’s Way.”
In his speech, he discussed the importance of having a compassionate heart and a love for others, noting that it was this love that led Joseph to interpret the dreams of the baker and the butler. David was inspired to take on Goliath by his compassion for people.
He continued by saying that the key to winning people over is to have a heart for them. A heart for others is the key to unlocking people’s hearts, therefore if you’re looking for a path, this is it.
People don’t care what you know unless they know that you care, and if you love them, they will know. John Maxwell, a leadership specialist, suggested as much.
People react to compassion, not to one’s ideology. He said,
“Matthew 19:5: People cleave to the one who loves them. The only people who might possibly abandon you if you truly loved them are those who were possessed by Satan, including the devil.
While you are aware of God’s love, Lucifer deserted him. So, such individuals will be found. The personification of love is Jesus, but Judas Iscariot betrayed him. Therefore, a small percentage of individuals may punish you for doing good.
However, the majority of people will respond to your affection. After services ended and many people were waiting for transportation, he then disclosed what he teaches his members.
He said,
“You see, the majority of the time when our services end and there are crowds of people on the road waiting for transportation, I will start to announce to Church members, “please don’t leave anybody stranded by the road.
