The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it would begin publishing results for applicants who took the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Tuesday, May 2.

According to the announcement, all applicants who have taken the exam thus far will be able to view their results on or before Thursday, May 4.
Dr. Benjamin stated that the results were purposefully delayed to ensure that all necessary screening was completed, as well as that the mean and standard deviation were reasonably achieved before releasing the results.

However, the JAMB spokesperson stated that some candidates who sat for the examination would not see their results, but would instead receive notification for a rescheduled examination because they encountered difficulties during the exercise without being aware of it.
“The Board would release the results of candidates who have taken the examination thus far on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023,” according to the announcement. The Board had postponed the publication to verify that all relevant screenings were completed, as well as that the mean and standard deviation were reasonably achieved before disclosing these data.
“When candidates check their results on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, those who sat the examination but had challenges but were unaware of them will not see their results, but will instead see their notification for rescheduled examination.”
“As a result, all candidates who took the examination are urged to check their results by Thursday, May 8, 2023.”
