Roy Keane, a Manchester United legend, has dismissed claims that Portugal would be better off without captain Cristiano Ronaldo.
Keane said this while defending Ronaldo in the wake of recent criticism leveled at the former Manchester United forward.
Remember that Ronaldo was chastised after being benched in Portugal’s 6-1 victory over Switzerland in the World Cup round of 16 a few days ago?
Gary Neville, Ronaldo’s former teammate, also suggested that Portugal would be better off without the 37-year-old.
Speaking about the development, Keane slammed the notion that Portugal would be better off without Ronaldo, insisting that he despised such nonsense.
