Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, is preventing midfielder Conor Gallagher from leaving the club this summer.
According to the Evening Standard, Premier League clubs are interested in the England international.
This summer, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the midfielder, but Pochettino is not willing to let him go.
Chelsea have been undergoing a big squad clear-out this summer, with players such as Kai Havertz, Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Edouard Mendy leaving for clubs across the Premier League and around the world.
Gallagher is one of the Blues players that might still be moved by the club, but Pochettino is opposed to such a deal.
“The only way I could leave Chelsea is if Pochettino didn’t want me,” Thiago Silva says.
Meanwhile, Gallagher appeared in 45 games for Chelsea last season, scoring three goals in the process.
