After training, Chelsea player Marc Cucurella jokedly texted Chelsea youngster Lewis Hall, urging the 18-year-old to hit the gym to get stronger.
Hall started back-to-back games for Chelsea before the World Cup break, and he is currently with the team in Abu Dhabi as the Blues prepare to resume Premier League play.
On Wednesday, Cucurella sent a message to Hall via his Instagram story.
Cucurella wrote,
“Sorry amigo… you need more gym.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Graham Potter praised Hall’s performance in Chelsea’s 2-0 Carabao Cup loss to Manchester City prior to the World Cup.
Potter responded to Hall’s performance by telling Sky Sports,
“He’s too good”- says Brad Friedel of Chelsea’s star, telling him to leave Stamford Bridge
“Lewis Hall did brilliantly.” Outstanding performance. Excellent effort and quality. You can see he can handle the ball; he accepted responsibility.
“The hardest thing is putting the ball in the net, and that’s all he didn’t do today, but everything he did was fantastic.”
